You Are My Sunshine

Hello, and happy Friday!  It's Julie with you today.  I love big, bold sentiment stamps that can be the focal point of a card.  I found this great one in the Great Impressions Stamps store, and fell in love with it.

This is E876 My Sunshine.  All I did was ink it up, cut it out with a square die cut, back it with another die cut and centered it on the card.

It was a fun, easy card.

This is my last post for Great Impressions Stamps, and I want to thank Deone and Ruza for the wonderful experience!  I have loved every minute and will treasure each of my Great Impressions Stamps

Hello Summer ...

Good morning! Today is my last post as a Designer for Great Impressions Stamps. I've had an amazing time being on the Design Team for the past 2-yrs, as a Designer and then the Design Team Coordinator. I've worked with many amazing designers while on the Design Team. Shouting out a BIG Thank You to all of the Designers and our awesome Owner Deone. It has been a blast being here and sharing my creations with all of you.

Mabel & Vera Beachin' (J118) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, and colored with my Copic Markers. I also used a White Gelly Roll Pen for the swimsuits. Once colored I pulled out my Tim Holtz Distress Inks and created the sand, water, and sky with a dauber. I then added the Hello Summer Sentiment (C366).

I will be back on Sunday, July 2nd, to announce the winner of our LAST Great Impressions ChallengeYou still have time to join in the FUN ... we are going Masculine this month! Hop on over for all of the details! We can't wait to see what you create for our FINAL Challenge!

Happy Birthday Sis!

Happy Happy Friday!

Good morning everyone.   Hope you have had a wonderful week and now I have another Friday card for you.

Mable and Vera are off again on a wild adventure.  This stamp is Mable & Vera Cruzin' (J117) and it is paired with Wild! (C478).  This has been colored in Copic markers and placed on an embossed background.  I put that on a paper I made myself using ColorBurst powders and sequins with washi tape on the bottom.  Pop over to my blog for all the details.

I want to remind you there is still a few days to enter our June challenge with this as the prize

Now some sad news.  This will be my last post for Great Impressions.   I have truly enjoyed the last six months and I just love our team and our leader Ruza.  I have even learned to stamp better as I have used mostly digis before.  I will miss being part of this team and designing for Great Impressions.
Thank you Deone, owner of Great Impressions, for having me on your team!
Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

So Wonderful

It's been so much fun being on the Design Team for the Great Impressions Stamps Challenge.
Unfortunately, my 3 month term is all but over.

For my last card, I've used the Daisy Flourish Stamp (E702)
and the  So Wonderful Sentiment Stamp (E805).

Remember, the current Great Impressions Challenge is still open.
Have you linked up your masculine project, yet?

Happy Birthday ...

Good morning! I'm re-sharing a masculine card today that I created last year that features Great Impressions Stamps.

My card features the adorable Seashore Buddies (G488) and Happy Birthday Sentiment (B247). I had an awesome time coloring up the Seashore Buddies with my Copic Markers, and did a bit of paper-piecing to add dimension to the stamped image. A bit of distress ink was applied behind the seagull which adds a bit more dimension to my stamped design.

Have you checked out our Great Impressions June Challenge yet ... we are going Masculine this month! Hop on over for all of the details, and join in the FUN! We can't wait to see what you create this month!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

A Flaming Birthday Card

It's Friday again!  Yea!

Today I am sharing the card I made for our June Challenge at Great Impressions.

The stamp I started with is "Flaming Truck" (G536).  It is colored with Copic markers and then glazed over with Glossy Accents brushed on the truck and Glastique for the windows.  I don't have any masculine papers so I made one.  The paper behind the truck is just a guy carrying a tool box and holding a wrench.
I made the base red so I wanted something between and chose silver.  I embossed this and put it all together.  I then stamped the sentiment "Becoming a Classic" (D390) and placed it under the truck.
I do hope you will check out the June Challenge at Great Impressions and see all the DT has for you this month.  See you in the challenge!
Hugs,
Robin

One Cool Dog!

Hi, crafty people!
Today is my day to tell you a little bit about my DT card featured a couple weeks ago when the June Great Impressions Stamp Challenge went live.  And, I made another card to share with you, as well.

First my DT card....
This was a relatively simple card to make.
I stamped the Dog Wearing Sunglasses(E896) Great Impressions Stamp with black ink and then added a bit of color to his spots with pencils.  A coating of clear drying glue was applied to the lenses of the dog's sunglasses and also his nose.  My cricut is responsible for the sunglasses border across the top of the card, the frame around the image, and also the letters.

And now....
Here's another super simple card I made using Great Impressions Stamps Handy Mouse(320S) and Happy Dad's Day(D389).  You will find additional info about this card here, on my blog.

Making a card/project for a guy?
Link it up before the end of June for a chance to win these two
Great Impressions stamps.

Thanks for stopping by.
See you next Wednesday.

Golf ...

Good morning! I'm re-sharing a masculine card today that I created last year that features Great Impressions Stamps.

I started out by stamping the Vintage Golf Bag (E503) three times. One I cut out with my Nestabilities Circle Die, colored the other two with my Copic Markers, did a bit of fussy cutting and layered the image together to add a bit of dimension. I layered the panel on my background and added a red pearl to the pocket on the bag. I then stamped the What Else is There Sentiment (D297), layered it on navy cardstock, and added it to the card with 3D Foam Square. The final step was to add some Glossy Accents to the golf ball and clubs.

Have you checked out our Great Impressions June Challenge yet ... we are going Masculine this month! Hop on over for all of the details, and join in the FUN! We can't wait to see what you create this month!

Until next week ... Enjoy!

A Butterfly Get Well

Hello All and Happy Friday!
Robin here sharing another card made for Great Impressions.

I am a huge fan of butterflies so when I saw this stamp I just had to get it.  This is called "Delicate Butterflies" (C413).  I stamped it all over the card with Versamark and then embossed it with Super Fine Black.  The stamp is rather small and I wanted to make sure you could see the definition.  I used some distress inks to make them flying in the sky then colored them with Copic markers.
The sentiment is part of a set called "Sweet Sentiments" (E791).  It includes "Thinking of You" and "Happy Birthday" along with the "Get Well".  I really like the font for this.  I die cut the circle of butterflies and then stamped in the center.  It looked a little off so I stamped some butterflies there too.  I added ribbon and flowers to finish it off.
I also want to remind you of the June Challenge at Great Impressions.  Our challenge this month is "Masculine" and here is the prize you can win.

I do hope to see you in the challenge this month!

Sailing Away ...

Good morning! I created a masculine card to share with you today featuring Sail Away (E418) from Great Impressions Stamps.

Using Marvey LePlumme II Markers I colored the image with three (3) different colors and stamped it on my panel. I then colored the image again with the same markers, and made each sail a little different. A combination of Distress Inks and Gelatos were used to create the sea and sky, and then applied Copic Opaque White with a brush to create the whitecaps. I then framed the scene with a Scalloped Frame Die, and layered it on my blue card. No sentiment was used, but you can always add it to the inside for any occasion.

Special Guest Designer: Patti J.

Hi everyone! Today is an exciting day! Patti J. is back as our Special Guest Designer! Here's what Patti has to share with us.

Great Impressions  was one of the very first stamps I purchased when I began stamping, in 2000.  It still makes me smile to use one of their products, and I've missed being a team member!

The amazing Ruza asked me to create something 'For Him'. I didn't have too many masculine stamps, so here's what I decided to do ... A Double Z-Fold (Joy?) Card seemed like a fun manly-fold.

Here is the card opened partially ...

Here is the card opened fully ...

And this little view shows the card from the end - double z's, right???

I used these Great Impressions Stamps: Old Fishing Chair (G331) and the Tags Sentiment (G483). This will go to a man at church who loves to fish and golf!

Thanks for dropping by today! Make sure you stop by this Sunday for our Great Impressions June Challenge!

Birdies on a Swing

Greetings!  It's Julie with you today. Do you like to swing?  Did you enjoy it as a child?  Sometimes I watch birds and squirrels sitting on branches, swinging in the breeze and it looks like FUN!  Great Impressions Stamps has a great rubber stamp, Two Birdies on a Swing (G486) that is so, so cute!  I just had to color it up!

I stamped G486 Two Birdies on a Swing onto watercolor paper, then used watercolor pencils and a paint brush to color the Two Birdies.  The Hello sentiment (A138) is also from Great Impressions Stamps.  It's one of my favorite sentiments as it's a great size, it can be used for many occasions, and it stamps so cleanly!

Have you entered this month's challenge at Great Impressions Stamps yet?  It's nearly over for May, but a new one starts on Sunday, June 4.  Join us!

Thank You ...

Good morning! I created a Thank You card to share today in honor of the men/women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Today's card features the Cowboy Boots with Flowers (G528). The image was stamped on Kraft cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. A variety of  Faber-Castel Art Grip Pencils, Pastell Pitt Pencils, Silver Pen and a White Gelly Roll Pen were used to color the image. I put lines of White Opal Liquid Pearls around the image, and layered it on red cardstock. Using Vintage Cream cardstock I applied distress ink around the edges and added it to my card. I only used a portion of the Being You Sentiment (D509) which I cut out with a stitched rectangle die, applied distress ink around the edges, and used 3D Foam Squares to add it to my card.

You have 1-more day to enter our Great Impressions May Challenge! Hop on over for all of the details, and join in the FUN! We can't wait to see what you create this month!

Get Well Daisies

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I'm so glad for the weekend to be here.  This is Robin and I have a Get Well card for you today.

For this card I used "Get Well Daisy (E700) and "Daisy Border (G403)".  I stamped them with Versamark and then embossed with gold.  I thought it would look pretty and a nice change from black.  They were then colored with Copics.  I did a fussy cut on the sentiment and popped it up.  I used the the other stamp on the border and then distressed with blue.

I'd also like to remind you of the May Challenge here at Great Impressions.  The challenge is "Feminine" and the prize is perfect for your upcoming Father's Day card.

No automatic alt text available.

You still have a few more days to enter.  I would love to see your projects this month!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Know someone going through a rough patch?
The Great Impressions Beary Wet Stamp (F608) paired with the Spin Cycle Sentiment Stamp (E867) makes an adorably encouraging card.
I made this card for one of my husband's golfing buddies...

You are in my thoughts ...

Good morning! I hope you had a marvelous weekend. Today's card is thoughtful and sweet.

I stamped the Little Girl in Springtime (F466) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and used Copic Markers to color her. A White Gelly Roll Pen was used in the center of the flowers, and for the band on the hat. Distress Ink was applied to create ground cover and sky. I chose the Thoughts Sentiment (B176) to go with this lovely girl. I then create the border around the image using a 0.35 Copic Multi-Liner.

Mid Month Challenge Reminder

Happy Friday All!

I hope you all have had a great week and are ready for the weekend.  I know I am.  Robin here.  I wanted to remind you of the Great Impressions May Challenge.  The challenge is "Feminine" and this is the card I made for the challenge.

For the background paper I stamped The Rose (J106) all the way down the paper and embossed it.  Then I used some distress inks.  The stamp I wanted to make the main focus is Birds and Roses (G111).  I also used embossing for this one then colored with my Copics.  I used some Glastique to give strength to the branches and some leaves then did a fussy cut after it dried.

I thought this stamp should be framed but I didn't have any frame dies so I used this die and cut out the center. Using a neutral color made the stamp just pop out plus I did pop it up.  I put it on the base and added a bow and some of what I like to call flower seeds.  I actually cut it off some silk floral arrangements I bought.

Thanks to all of you who have entered the challenge so far and I'm hoping to see so many more of you enter.  This is the prize you can win.

What a great stamp for Father's Day!

I'm so happy you stopped by and have a blessed day!

Hugs,

For a Special Mom

Today I thought I'd share a little bit
about how I made my card for the

First I stamped both F121 Springy Molly and C346 A Special Mom Sentiment in black ink on white card stock.   I colored Miss Molly with markers before die cutting the image, which was then adhered to red card stock.  The corners of the red cs were decorated with a corner punch.
For a Special Mom was fussy cut and adhered to a die cut.
For the card base I used a piece of 4.25" x 8.25" white card stock, scored at 5.5"; plus an additional piece of 4.45" x 1.25" white card stock for the bottom strip.
The front pieces were first covered with red card stock and then patterned paper and the bottom corners of the top flap were rounded.  The inside of the card was also covered with patterned paper since it shows through when the card is folded.
To assemble the card I first placed the front strip on top of the bottom of the inside of the card.  I placed a strip of adhesive across the bottom of the back of image piece and positioned it onto the bottom strip.  Then I folded the top section of the card down and glued the top of the image to it.  When I added the inside sentiments, I made sure the little heart would show and positioned the Happy Mother's Day high enough on the card so that it was completely covered when the card was closed.
The inside sentiments and heart were cut on my cricut.
For embellishment I added the 3 little hearts and wrapped some bakers twine around the bottom strip.

Happy Birthday ...

Good morning! I have a birthday card for a little boy to share with you today.

I stamped the Dump Truck (E636) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Using a 0.8 Copic Multi-Liner I drew in a road for the truck to drive on. Copic Markers were used to color in the truck, along with a Silber 1.5 PITT Faber Castell Artist Pen for the fender and grill. I then added the Happy Birthday Sentiment (C340) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and applied distress ink above and below the road to represent dirt. Glossy Accents was added to the windows of the truck to make them shiny, and White Opal Liquid Pearls was used for the headlights.

Our Great Impressions May Challenge is live! Hop on over for all of the details, and join in the FUN! We can't wait to see what you create this month!
